Made from top quality saddle leather, the added width provide optimal weight distribution around the dog's neck (1-1/4" W X 3/8" thickness). The blunt copper studs provide the correct tension for best result desired by the handler. Complete with industrial strength wax stitching and chrome plated hardware to help withstand all-weather abuse. This could very well be the last training collar you will ever need. After years of using major name brand and custom-built dog panels, we found that the powder coating and standard galvanized chain link currently being used just won’t last in bird dog kennels environment. After extensive research and testing, we have determined that hot dip galvanizing the entire panel after welding and assembly is the most protective means to prevent corrosion and rusting from canine urine. This finishing process coats and seals the outside as well as the inside of every surface. The key is to apply hot galvanized coating minimum of 5 mils thick that which will extend the life expectancy to 100 plus years according to the American Galvanizing Association. Other panels claim to be "galvanized" after the welding, but upon close inspection reveal their welded are just spray painted with galvanized paint, it would be better off spray paint it yourself.
